You can use whatever you want, but we have a server texture pack (created by me) that has custom skins that will be a necessity for future updates/raids.

The texture pack is here. However, for the time being, the raids will be npc's which means this texture pack will not be necessary for Roman immersion |

The server's texture pack is cool but im all too used to it lol I remember having a painterly pack before, but overall i like the default texture the best.
